What do I get with my car?
The rates that are displayed on
MiamiRentalCar.net, in the majority of cases, will include collision damage waivers, premium rental locations (e.g - airport locations), state and local taxes, unlimited mileage and breakdown assistance. It is important to check exactly what is included with the vehicle during the booking process before making a reservation. What is included can vary between car categories due to special offers and other factors. Insurance excesses will apply just like any standard motor policy although waivers are also available should you opt for them.
What is the minimum age to rent a car in Miami?
The minimum age to rent a car is 21 years old. However, most of the vehicle types shown will only be available to those who are aged over 25. At a few select locations, younger drivers (aged 21 - 24) may rent vehicles subject to a surcharge (on average this is around $15 per day). To check this, click the 'Age Restrictions' link during the reservation process. Any young drivers fees are always payable directly to your chosen rental location. Whilst we try very hard to offer the correct vehicles during the search process, including an age verification step, it is important that you double check the age restriction if you are under 25 years old to avoid any issues.

What kind of vehicle can I rent in Miami?
We offer a wide range of
vehicle categories for hire in Miami. The cars on fleet will include Cadillacs, Chevrolets, Fords, Jeeps and Kias amongst others.
Can you tell me the opening hours of your locations in Miami?
Opening hours differ from location to location. When you use the
car hire search you can select a time for collection and drop off of the vehicle and only locations which are open at those times will be offered. You will also be able to see the opening hours of each rental location during the reservation process. Locations at Miami Airport are normally open 24 hours a day.
When do I need to make payment?
At the time of booking we will take a deposit as stated during the booking process. Any remaining balance is payable when you come to collect your vehicle at the rental station. For last minute rentals and certain vehicle types full payment may be required in order to book the vehicle - this will be made clear during the reservation process. We take the security of your payment details seriously and any payments made via our website are processed using secure servers. We can accept most major credit or debit cards. Please note that certain items including young driver surcharges are to be paid when you collect the vehicle.
What documents do I bring with me when I collect my rental car?
On arrival at the car rental location in Miami you will be asked to show your driving license (please show all sections of your driving license whether it is a US, Canadian, British, European or International license). You will also need to bring a minimum of two types of ID which show your current address along with one other type of photographic ID (e.g - a bank statement, a utility bill and your passport). You must also bring a valid credit card (Mastercard, Visa or American Express) in the name of the main driver which will be used to pay for any balance due on the rental and take a security hold for the car when you collect it. Can I have an additional driver added to the vehicle?
You can certainly add an additional driver to your rental vehicle (usually at extra cost). You may do this during the booking process on our website or when you come to collect the car at your chosen rental location in Miami. Please be aware that any additional drivers must meet the same requirements as the main driver of the vehicle (age and valid license along with ID requirements as noted above).
Can I rent a GPS system?
All of our rental partners in Miami will be able to rent you a GPS system for the duration of your rental. This is normally at extra cost though. If you like, you can add GPS to your rental during the booking process on our website. Please note that if you do need GPS then we suggest you add GPS to your rental at time of booking in order to avoid disappointment.
I am renting for business. Can you give me a receipt?
You will be given a receipt when you collect your vehicle in Miami. Normally the receipt will be included with the normal paperwork that you'll have to fill out when you collect your car at the rental location.
